Alternative Treatment Options For Depression

I've experienced several periods of depression throughout my adult life, and while prescription drugs have proved helpful, I've been keen to explore drug-free ways to manage and treat my depression. I started this blog to share my personal experience battling this illness and the alternative treatment options I've tried, including dietary supplements, talking therapies, meditation, relaxation exercises, massage and acupuncture. I also post about current research on the effectiveness of holistic therapies at treating depression, and the blog contains guest posts written by others with depression who have tried drug-free treatments. I hope you find the information on this blog useful.

Eyebrow Lift: How to Determine the Type That Suits You Best

Blog

A brow lift is a surgery procedure that's meant to reduce signs of aging on your forehead. If your eyebrows have started to droop or you've creases between your eyebrows, then a brow lift is recommended for you. The procedure can be performed in various ways.

Endoscopic Brow Lift It lifts the eyebrows without getting rid of the skin. In this procedure, several small incisions that are placed behind the hairline are used. A small camera is then inserted inside the forehead via the incisions. The camera relays internal images to a computer. The forehead is positioned in an elevated manner then stabilized. The biggest advantage of this brow lift is the fact that multiple tiny incisions are placed behind the hairline's scalp. This brow lift is ideal for people in their 30s and who have insignificant droopiness in their forehead's area.

Endo-Coronal Brow Lift It lifts the eyebrows and softens your forehead. Its done by placing an incision behind your hairline's scalp. Therefore, the scar will form inside your scalp behind the hairline with no visible scars on the face. You'll lose some hair because the brow lift is created by getting rid of excess skin from an area that has hair. Your hairline will also move up about 1/2 an inch. Its recommended for men and women who have thick hair. Its not ideal for people who don't have a lot of hair and men with baldness.

Hairline or Trichophytic Brow Lift This is a revised version of endo-coronal brow lift. During the procedure, wavy line incision is placed at the point where the forehead and hairline meets. Skin is removed from the forehead hence no hair loss. This brow lift doesn't elevate the hairline. Its best for women whose foreheads are tall and have high hairlines. Its also ideal for people who want earlier procedures that went wrong to be modified. For instance, if the hairline was raised to or above a level that's  an acceptable.

Factors that will determine the brow you can have include differences between men and women. For example, men's eyebrows are thicker and lower. Their foreheads are flat and their brow ridge is placed above their eyes. On the other hand, women's eyebrows are thinner and are placed higher above their eyes while their foreheads are curvier with no bony ridges. Individual preferences, skin loosening and effects of ageing are also other determinants. However, your chosen brow lift can be tailored to suit your needs.
